Night Etching: Blessed

Blessed is he whose help is in the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps faith forever; who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets the prisoners free; the Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous. -Psalm 146:5-8


Turn on any television, or computer, or cellphone, or read a newspaper or magazine and you will notice how corrupt the world is becoming. In this modern age, families are starving while movie stars and athletes are being paid millions for entertainment. Our sense of reality is totally off base.
Marriage has lost the meaning God had intended. What some are calling equality, God views as shameless acts. Race wars and religious wars are normal everyday news. Science and philosophy are trying to convince people there is no God. God seems to be getting smaller and smaller. But that is not true!
For no matter how people want to live, and no matter what people want to believe and say, the truth is God is still God. For us, who know the Truth, our hope will never die for we understand God is still providing for those who are hungry, and those who are blind, and for us who are being oppressed for our beliefs in what family, and what marriage really means. No one, no matter how loud and how long they scream will ever change the truth that God is here...forever!!! And for us who rests all that we are on that, are blessed, happy, and full of joy!
One day, we will be set free of all of man's corruption, and all will bow to the Lord, our Righteousness! Amen.
