Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned--for sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law. -Romans 5: 12,13
Disobedience in Man was in our heart before God's law. The law just showed that Man, all men, are disobedient. Disobedience, or sin is prevalent in all men and women and thus, a danger to our spiritual condition. This condition came to us through one man, Adam, but all men would have done the same.
Whatever our spiritual condition is now, Jesus will give us the strength and direction in keeping sin under His control. Repentance, humility, forgiveness, reconciliation, and trust are all ingredients needed for our lives to either get back on or stay on track. May God be the glory! Amen!
